The facts are.. If a game have guns, it's not nessesary a shooter. It may be an action-adventure, like Uncharted, or even a platformer, like LBP or R&C. Even MNR or Valkyria Chronicles or Heavy Rain has guns - are they shooters then? No.
But GeoW, Halo and CoD are still shooters. And GeoW/Halo are the biggest exclusives and main system sellers for X360. And they realy are shooters.
But PS3 is not relying on shooters.
MNR, Yakuza 3, WKC, 3D Dot Games, Sly Trilogy - those are exclusive games for PS3 this year. None of them are shooter. Not to mention the biggest title for PS3 this year - Heavy Rain, GoW3, GT5, LBP2. They are not shooters also.

But co-op can kill the Ratchet's gameplay. R&C is always about huge opened leveles. But the video (as far as I could stand watching it with all those dumb-ass comments) shows narrow linear pathways.
I'm a huge R&C fan. The announcement of the R&C:FToD was the main reason I bought a PS3. But this R&C game looks like a lower-quality spin-off, like Deadlocked or Size Matters.
But I will support Insomniac on this either way.

Blacktric, flamewar was started by all that "exclusives lately aren't really all that exclusive" thing. That is reffering to one console in particular that cannot secure it's own exclusives or produce new exclusives by 1st and 2nd parties. Because in business struggle exclusives give one console or another an advantage in sales competition. Why on Earth should I buy a console that have only two exclusive core-games in one year future? Even my PSP have more than that.
